As an interdisciplinary researcher, with a background in cultural studies and socio-ecological research, I study relationships between humans and nature. My key interests are emotional experiences in nature, digital interactions with nature, and citizen science as a practice that connects us with nature.
My PhD research at Radboud University (NL) was about the role of digital media in our affective relationships with nature. I am currently based at the Open Universiteit (NL) as a postdoctoral researcher. Here I continue research on human-nature relationships and the plural valuation of nature.
I also enjoy bridging science and society, and motivating a more nature-friendly worldview through participation, education and communication projects.
