As an interdisciplinary researcher, with a background in cultural studies and socio-ecological research, I study relationships between humans and nature. My key interests are emotional experiences in nature, digital interactions with nature, and citizen science as a practice that connects us with nature.

My PhD research at Radboud University (NL) was about the role of digital media in our affective relationships with nature. I’ve continued my research on human-nature relationships at the Open Universiteit and I am currently based at Wageningen University & Research.

I also enjoy bridging science and society, and motivating a more nature-friendly worldview through participation, education and communication projects.
